From the Chairman — January 2017

Happy New Year to you all! I hope that this first newsletter for 2017 finds you all well and looking forward to another great year of veteran motoring. This year looks to be a very busy one for us as the members of the National Veteran Rally group finalise details and process registrations for the Clare event.

With this month’s newsletter, you will also find a copy of the VCCSA Calendar of Events for 2017. The committee hopes that in providing this information early on, it will assist with your preparations and planning to make every effort to be involved in some or perhaps all of these events.

The Veteran Car Club of SA is only as good as the efforts and contributions its membership can offer. We have a great club and some really diverse and skilled people across our membership. If we are to continue to get the most out of our club for the advocacy of the veteran car movement, then I ask you to put forward some ideas or get involved in assisting your Committee to develop ideas to make your enjoyment with the VCCSA something memorable for 2017.   Please give thought towards a topic or something we should investigate as a topic for a monthly Gathering. You might have something worth sharing that is a great interest to others; the “restoration round-up” night demonstrated this. Perhaps you might like to assist with a monthly run(either planning or assisting with the planning). Finally, I know our Editor would be thrilled to receive some new and fresh material from members (text or images) that we can share with everyone.

Please, give this your full consideration, so we can maintain a strong and active club that serves the membership well.

See you on the road in your Veteran soon.

Hamish McDonald (Chair)
