From the Secretary — July 2014

VCCSA Annual General Meeting: This month’s gathering will be the Annual General Meeting for the Veteran Car Club of South Australia. We will also take advantage of the opportunity for many of the club’s members to renew their membership for the next financial year and update their conditional registration papers and log books. With this month’s Bulletin, you will receive a copy of the membership renewal form. Please complete this form and return to the Membership Secretary.

Following a call for nominations to the VCCSA Management Committee, I am able to advise members that we have received the correct number of nominations for all available positions: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and five Committee Members, therefore no election will be required on Wednesday. Instead this will be a friendly Nog ‘n’ Natter opportunity.

VCCSA Register of Vehicles: As you will see on this year’s membership form, the VCCSA Committee is starting to gather information required for the preparation of our inclusion into the national AVCCA vehicle register. The Committee has asked Terry Parker (Committee Member) to commence this process and the membership renewal forms will be the starting point. Please make every effort to provide the details of any vehicles registered through the VCCSA or any vehicles which ‘will’ be registered through the VCCSA in the future on your renewal form in the space provided. Terry will also be approaching members personally to ensure their vehicle details are included and more importantly that our club has a strong representation of veterans. If you have not already noticed, we are also interested to learn of the status of your vehicle and there is a space provided for you to indicate this on the form.
Now is a good time to think about registering you vehicle through/changing your vehicle registration to the VCCSA if you have it registered elsewhere, to ensure that it is included in the register.
